How to complete your DisplayMode.com Member Profile:

After enabling your account through the Activation message that was sent to your registered email address, we recommend that you start working on completing your profile. 

Profiles that have not been completed within 48 Hours from the date of registration are subject to deletion at the discretion of the Administrator.  Completion is defined as posting (1) primary (Main) photo and at least (6) portfolio Gallery photos, and have completed your Profile Book (Bio) area.   if you are not ready to complete your profile and portfolio with us, please do not register...  Your account and messaging will not be fully activated until these steps have been completed! 

Getting Started

When you log in, you will see a "My Menu" link appear in the top-main menu area right-side. You can see this menu only when you are logged in.  Click My Profile to get to your User Profile. At the top of your profile page you will see the "Edit" button.  This is where you add and delete your main Profile Photo, and also activate/add/update your other profile areas.  Your Profile Photo should be the first image you upload to the site. Your Portfolio Gallery Photos are uploaded through the text link below your main photo area. Please Note: The DisplayMode community has strict quality control standards. Cellular phone and WebCam images are very low quality and are Not Allowed.   We want our members to display their best work to the industry and maximize your marketability to the great opportunities we provide access to.  This requirement is to maintain the overall quality of our community and should be appreciated by all.

Using the "Edit" button above your main photo, and clicking "Update", you will see multiple Tabs for various areas of your profile that you need to fill in, edit, and update.  Be sure to Click the Save (Update) button before you leave these areas, or your changes will no be updated.

My Profile Book (Bio)
This Tab is where you can write your Bio, history, resume, or other detailed information about yourself (basic HTML is allowed) if you wish to make an email address available to non-members, you can add it in this area also..  This is a very important area that you need to complete so viewers will take you seriously...

Your Photo Gallery:
Every registered member at DisplayMode has a Profile Gallery where you can publish your own portfolio images.  We currently permit 100 images in your profile gallery, not counting your main profile image.   While updating your profile as mentioned above, be sure to add your short gallery greeting, and select the access level as public.  Its all about the talent here, so everyone should give credit to the Models, Photographers and Make Up Artists that are featured through your work.  When uploading photos, list Model, Photographer, MUA names in your image descriptions...  

Look below your profile photo area and you will see a Portfolio Gallery Tab and Text Link that says "Submit New Gallery Entry" where you can add your gallery photos. .  You can then begin uploading your photo's.  We recommend you name and describe your images which will help get your photos into our syndication cue. That also means your photo may be added to some of our articles and content that is syndicated around the world through RSS Newsreaders and Fashion Industry News services. This is a free service to our members that helps you receive greater exposure and recognition.

Forum Settings:
In much the same way, you have updated your profile information thus far, you can edit other settings such as your Forum setting which allows you to selct the way you read your forums.  Flat, or in Threaded view.

Other Settings:
All other settings work the same way.  If you have any questions feel free to contact the Admin after checking the support forums and FAQ areas.

Special Notice:   Harrassing other members of the DisplayMode community is not permitted and will not be tolerated.  This is a professional environment, not a dating, or singles site.  You should be professional at all times...  It is perfectly fine to meet and connect with other members.  We encourage everyone to visit and comment on each others work, and be generally supportive of each other...  Any reports or complaints, however, from other members about you of offensive contact  may result in account deletion and your IP Address being Banned!  We will take all measures neccessary to protect our members comfort and privacy here at DisplayMode.com so please be nice and professional.
